Fernie Activity Clubs
The Fernie Rod and Gun Club provides training and instruction in sports of shooting, archery, hunting, and fishing. A significant effort is made to maintain the local habitat as part of their mandate.
Fernie Nordic Society grooms and maintains over 50 km of cross country trails in the Fernie area. From their new center adjacent to Mt. Fernie Provincial Park, they are developing a comprehensive center with a stong junionr program, a racing program and an adult training program.
Fernie Trails Alliance works maintaining and expanding the extensive non-motorized trail access on Crown as well as private lands in the Fernie area.
Fernie Alpine Ski Team (FAST) trains young skiers in a variety of disciplines—Gates to free mountain riding. Long considered one of the premier youth training programs, Canadian Ski Team standout Emily Brydon is an alumni of FAST.

The Fernie Rotary Club meets for lunch every Wednesday at the Park Place Lodge.
The Fernie Lions Club meets every 2nd and 4th Thursday for dinner and organizes the Labor Day Weekend Demo Derby, a long standing Fernie institution.
